Orange County Fitness and Weight Loss Programs from Adventure Boot Camp and John Spencer Ellis

Orange County Fitness and Weight Loss Programs from Adventure Boot Camp and John Spencer Ellis

From the desk of Dr. John Spencer Ellis and Adventure Boot Camp

Here we are… it’s spring. It’s the time to refresh and renew. Your body has to be part of that renewal. I’d like to take just a moment to share some fast, easy and effective tips for getting your body strong, healthy and lean in record time. Are you ready? Here we go…

1. Switch to organic foods when and where possible. Toxins and chemicals in traditionally grown foods cause inflammation and allergies. Puffy = Added Weight

2. Be consistent with your approach to exercise. All too often, I have seen people slide backwards because of an “on and off” approach to exercise and proper eating.

3. Follow these simple rules to improve sleep quality: create a ritual before you go to bed such a bath, reading, breathing exercises, meditation or gentle stretching; keep your room about 65 degrees and 65% humidity; have your room as dark as possible; remove electronics from your bedroom – the lights AND the electronic waves BOTH inhibit melatonin. Melatonin is what allows you to get to the deepest levels of sleep.

4. Increase Omega 3 in your diet. It is found in cold water fish such as salmon. It can also be found in plants sources such as soy. You can easily supplement Omega 3 in pill form. Omega 3 has so many health benefits; you are crazy not to take advantage of it. Benefits include heart health, brain health, skin health, inflammation reduction and many others. Get going!

5. Get curious! If you don’t have the answers, go get them. Rely on a source you trust and ask all the questions you’ve always wanted to know. I always welcome your questions and comments. You can email me directly at johnspencerellis@gmail.com
I want to make you aware of all the resources that I have created for you to get in the best shape of your life this spring. I’ve been here for you since 1992 and I’m still here to answer your questions and guide you to the highest levels of health and fitness.
